At Slab we like to say we are big, small, and local. We brew beer with big flavours on our micro brew system, chuck it in big ass cans & it’s enjoyed by our local Tauranga community. We don’t filter our beer & it contains no artificial flavours or preservatives. We even can each beer by hand!
We’re a locally owned and operated 2nd generation brewery with a passion for making tasty brews for all to enjoy! We’re super stoked to be living, brewing and drinking in the best place in the world, which is why we are dedicated to crafting brews so anyone can hit the beach, crack open a can, lay back, and enjoy paradise!
The boys are back in town! Deliciously irreverent, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, is in the DNA of the yeastie boys. Kicking off in 2008, yeastie boys have been pioneers in the craft beer scene, and after a wee hiatus, have returned and are just as bad ass as ever. Come see us at festival and enjoy some unforgettable thirst traps.
If we told you that Good George was the best thing to come out of Hamilton, you’d probably think for a minute then make a joke about how we don’t have much competition. That’s okay, we can handle it, we don’t take life too seriously. We are serious about brewing though...
Good George came to life after a bunch of friends got together and decided, after years in hospitality and brewing, it was time to create their own craft brewery. Their belief was that beer and cider can be so much better and more rewarding. It shouldn't be bland, full of chemicals, mass produced and boring. Nor should it be hard, pretentious or scary. Exploring and drinking beers and ciders should be enjoyable, simple and really rewarding.”

Garage Project was started by Pete Gillespie & Jos Ruffell with help from Pete’s brother Ian. When we started out we were tiny. Garage Project wasn't even micro brewing... it was truly nano brewing. But what we lacked in size we more than made up for in agility and ability to experiment. When you’re brewing on such a small scale you can afford to take risks. That suited us. We wanted to try something new.A few years have passed and we’ve grown, but that same ethos still shapes how we do things at the Garage. Whether we’re brewing 50 litres or several thousand, we’re still here to take some risks, have a bit of fun, and try something new.
